Expansion of capacities of the Port of Sremska Mitrovica aims for this port to become a logistics centre, predominantly for bulk cargo and agriculture products, for companies working in the Srem and Macva district as well as those in Republika Srpska.
The project consists of construction of a bulk cargo terminal, an agriculture products terminal, including silos with 18,900 m³ of capacity, and a smaller capacity oil terminal. The value of the project is 52 million Euro, 33 million of which is the value of works on construction of port infrastructure. The work on the Feasibility Study with a Preliminary Design for expansion and construction of the port of Sremska Mitrovica is under way and its approval is expected by August 2020 so that first works can begin in March 2021.
CPM Consulting Ltd has completed the following, as per the contract with the main Designer (Ehting Ltd Belgrade):
- Preliminary Design for Technology of Expansion and Construction of the Port of Sremska Mitrovica
- Environmental impact assessment for the project of expansion and construction of the Port of Sremska Mitrovica (Preliminary Design)
- Environmental impact assessment for the project of expansion and construction of the Port of Sremska Mitrovica (Ministry of Environmental Protection).
